Scoring
3 points are awarded to any player given a mark of 7 or above in the sun's ratings
5 points are awarded for any goal scored
A hat trick gets a bonus of 5 points
Clean sheets score 5 points for goalkeepers and defenders
For defenders and goalkeepers - No points deducted if only 1 goal conceeded, then -1 for each additional goal conceeded
No points deducted for any player not playing
Points are scored for any part of the match that the player plays in.
A booking is -1, a sending off is -3
Star man is worth 5 points, the player with the most points at the end of the season gets a 20 point bonus
Points are also scored for FA Cup, Worthington Cup and European matches.
